Hey friends,
Things have been a bit wild for me over the past few weeks! 🙃
I’ve been working hard on getting my Extra Focus book ready to launch later this year.
I’m expecting final edits back later this week, and then I’ll be finalizing the manuscript and book design to prepare for proofing. Hopefully I’ll have preorders available sometime next month. 🤞
I want to finally share a sneak peek at the book cover!
For a quick behind-the-scenes: I had actually been working on another cover design for several months. I was mostly happy with it and had been getting good feedback from a few close friends. But then I suddenly had another idea I wanted to try that was much more bold and would stand out on a book shelf.
So I quickly put a sketch together and asked a few friends what they thought of the new direction.
Pretty much everyone I showed it to had the same response, and it was clear that this new design was the direction I was going to go!
So… I hope you like it too!
If not, please just don’t tell me so I can avoid any sense of rejection. 😂
Here it is:
It’s not final yet. As you can see there is some space at the top for me to add a recommendation blurb, and there are other tweaks I’ll likely make before this gets finalized.
You’ll also notice that it says “Illustrated by
” — I love Nate’s style and am ecstatic to get to work with him. He’s put together some amazing illustrations for the book that I can’t wait to share! (soooon)These do a great job of helping break up the book by illustrating some of the concepts and really make the whole experience a more delightful, fun, and easy book to read.
As I said, pre-orders are hopefully going to be available soon. For now you can sign up for the waitlist at extrafocusbook.com
Stay focused,
Jesse J. Anderson
P.S. I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile, but I finally signed up to finish my ADHD Coach training this year (I did some of the initial training last year and… well you know how it is, I got distracted 🙃).
I’ve heard from people interested, so hopefully I’ll be available to start coaching in the near future. 😅
ADHD Tip
Time-based Goals
Don’t use outcome-based goals:
finish the paper, clean the office, file my taxes
Instead, use time-based goals:
write for 30m, clean for 10m, work on taxes until 8pm
This gives you that important positive reinforcement—you feel success even if (or when) your time estimation is off!
